P3.88-M halaga ng agricultural facilities, irrigation systems sa CAR nasira dahil sa M7.0 quake
Tinatayang P3.88 milyong halaga ng agricultural facilities at irrigation systems ang nasira sa Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR).
Bunsod pa rin ito ng tumamang magnitude 7 na lindol sa Northern Luzon noong Miyerkules ng umaga, Hulyo 27.
“To date, damage and losses were reported on agricultural facilities and irrigation systems in CAR totalling to PhP 3.88 million,” saad sa Bulletin No. 2 ng Department of Agriculture (DA) dakong 5:00, Huwebes ng hapon (Hulyo 28).
“The reported minor damage in roads and bridges has no significant effect in the agriculture and fisheries commodities and infrastructures that could hamper the food supply system,” dagdag ng DA.
Iniulat naman ng National Food Authority (NFA) na mayroong sapat na rice bufferstock inventory para sa relief operations sa Regions 1 at 3.
“As per NFA’s inspection, two (2) warehouses (Pidigan, Abra and Tablac, Candon City) incurred damage. The value of damage is yet to be estimated upon further assessment,” ayon sa kagawaran.
Patuloy ang pakikipag-ugnayan ng kagawaran, kasama ang mga sakop na bureau, ahensya, at korporasyon sa mga lokal na pamahalaan, NGA at iba pang DRRM-related offices upang makapaghatid ng tulong sa mga apektadong probinsya.
