Kamara, susuportahan ang fund requirements para sa rehabilitasyon ng quake-hit areas
Susuportahan ng Mababang Kapulungan ng Kongreso ang alokasyon ng pondo sa national budget para sa rehabilitasyon at restoration ng mga pampublikong imprastraktura na naapektuhan ng magnitude 7 na lindol sa Northern Luzon.
Pahayag ito ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez sa panukala ni Senadora Imee Marcos na maglaan ng restoration funds at bumuo ng isang ahensya sa ilalim ng Office of the President para mapadali ang pagkilos ng pondo at resouces sa mga lugar na sinalanta ng kalamidad.
“Mr. President, on the part of the House, we shall support the good senator’s proposal here owing to the fact that we’ve always been looking for best practices, and FEMA or even the AFAD in Turkey are great models for best practices for these protocols,” pahayag ni Romualdez.
Tinukoy ng House Speaker ang Federal Emergency Management Authority ng Estados Unidos at ang Turkish counterpart nito.
“We shall also join the good senator from Ilocos Norte on her call to support the budgetary requirements. For the restoration of the heritage and cultural sites as well as the various infrastructures in the situation report,” saad pa nito.
Maisasagawa rin aniya ito sa pamamagitan ng koordinasyon ng mga representante at lokal na opisyal ng mga apektadong probinsya.
Umapela naman si Romualdez ng tulong para sa mga biktima ng malakas na lindol.
Iniabot ng House Speaker kay Abra Rep. Ching Bernos ang kaniyang personal assistance para sa mga apektadong residente.
Dapat aniyang magtulong ang pamahalaan at pribadong sektor sa pag-aabot ng tulong sa mga biktima at pag-rehabilitate ng mga komunidad.
Hinikayat din ni Romualdez ang mga kasamahang mambabatas sa mga apektadong probinsya na magsagawa ng sariling damage assessment bilang paghahanda para sa susunod na budget hearings.
