71.6 milyong Filipino, fully vaccinated na laban sa COVID-19

Umabot na sa humigit-kumulang 71.6 milyong Filipino ang fully vaccinated laban sa COVID-19.

Ayon sa Department of Health (DOH), base ito sa nakalap na datos hanggang sa araw ng Miyerkules, Hulyo 27, 2022.

Sa nasabing bilang, mahigit 9.7 milyong kabataan at apat na milyong bata ang bakunado na sa nakahahawang sakit.

Umabot naman sa halos 6.8 milyong senior citizens ang naturukan na kumpletong serye ng bakuna bilang dagdag-proteksyon kontra sa COVID-19.

“More than 16 million individuals are already part of PinasLakas and more than 1.2 million have received their 2nd booster shots,” ayon pa sa kagawaran.

Samantala, sinabi ng DOH na maari nang tumanggap ng 2nd booster shot ang mga indibiduwal na may edad 50 taong gulang pataas, at 18 hanggang 49-anyos na mayroong comorbidities.

Kasunod ito ng palawakin ng Food and Drug Administration (FDA) ang Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) para sa COVID-19 vaccines.

Paalala ng DOH, maaring tumanggap ng ikaapat na dose o 2nd booster shot apat na buwan matapos maturukan ng ikatlong dose o unang booster shot.
