Open space para sa telco infra ipapanukala sa Kamara
Inanunsiyo ni Isabela Representative Faustino ‘Inno’ Dy V ang balakin na muling ihain ang panukala na magbibigay daan na magkaroon ng imprastrakturang pang-telekomunikasyon sa bawat housing development sites.
Ito, ayon sa mambabatas, ay pagtitiyak ng malawak na internet access sa bansa.
Sa panukala, oobligahin ang property developments na maglaan ng espasyo para sa pagtatayuan ng anumang imprastrakturang pang-telekomunikasyon.
“Nowadays, no one can live without good connectivity. Telco service is now a necessity similar to how power and water should be treated. In the digital age, it is a basic human right to have good connectivity,” banggit ni Dy sa RISE to the Next Level ng Globe kamakailan.
Agad nagpahayag ng suporta ang Globe sa nais ng mambabatas dahil makatutulong ito sa ginagawang pagpapalawak ng imprastraktura ng kompanya para maghatid ng #1stWorldNetwork sa buong bansa.
“We are encouraged by Congressman Dy’s move to refile this bill that is crucial in achieving our goal to connect as many households as possible to reliable connectivity. This will benefit our people at a time when internet access has become a lifeline,” sabi ni Globe President at CEO Ernest Cu.
Naaprubahan na sa ikatlo at final reading sa Kamara ang panukala ni Dy, ngunit hindi na umabot sa bicameral level kaya’t positibo ito na magiging mabilis na ang pagpasa nito sa Mababang Kapulungan.
