Sen. Risa Hontiveros nakipagpulong sa Facebook, NBI, at PNP ukol sa online child abuse

Kasabay ng inaasahang pagiging batas ng Anti-Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children bill, nakipagpulong si Senator Risa Hontiveros sa ilang law enforcement agencies, gayundin sa Facebook.

Isinulong noong 18th Congress ni Hontiveros, bilang namumuno sa Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality, ang OSAEC Bill.

Kabilang sa mga nakipagpulong kay Hontiveros ang mga opisyal ng Facebook sa bansa, gayundin ang ilang tauhan mula sa National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-Anti Cyber Crime Division at Philippine National Police (PNP).

“Maagang nabuo at na-articulate ang consensus namin lahat sa pangunahing prinsipyo ng best interest of the child. Na ‘yun talaga ‘yung primary na layunin nitong anti-OSAEC bill at pareho ‘yung Facebook na pangunahing internet platform dito sa ating bansang Pilipinas,” sabi ng Senadora.

Kabilang din sa mga natalakay ang magiging implementing rules and regulations (IRR) ng Anti-OSAEC Law.

Napagkasunduan na ang tatlong pangunahing hakbang na ang gagawin ay ang pagtatanggal ng ‘offensive materials,’ gayundin ang posts na nangangalakal ng online sexual abuse and exploitation of children.
