Marcos nais magtatag ng Center for Disease Control and Prevention, vaccine institute
Humiling si Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. sa Kongreso ng pakikiisa upang makapagtatag ng sariling Center for Disease Control and Prevention, at vaccine institute sa bansa.
“Sa pakikipagtulungan ng Kongreso, itatatag natin ang sariling Center for Disease Control and Prevention at isang vaccine institute,” pahayag ng Pangulo sa kaniyang unang State of the Nation Address (SONA) sa Batasang Pambansa, Hulyo 25.
Magtatayo rin aniya ng mga dagdag na health center at ospital sa iba’t ibang panig ng bansa.
“But beyond the issues that the pandemic has brought, the need for a stronger healthcare system is self-evident. We must bring medical services to the people and not wait for them to come to our hospitals and healthcare centers,” saad nito.
Napakinabangan aniya nang husto ang specialty hospitals tulad ng Philippine Heart Center, Philippine Lung Center, National Children’s Hospital, at National Kidney and Transplant Institute.
Dahil dito, maliwanag aniyang hindi lamang dapat sa National Capital Region nakatutok at magtatag ng mga nabanggit na uri ng pagamutan, kundi maging sa iba pang parte ng bansa.
Maliban dito, magtatalaga rin ng mga clinic at rural health unit na pupuntahan ng mga doktor, nurse, midwife, at medical technologist isa o dalawang beses sa isang linggo upang mailapit ang healthcare system sa taumbayan nang hindi kailangang pumunta sa sentro ng kani-kanilang bayan o bumiyahe nang malayo.
“One of the cornerstones of a strong healthcare system is the provision of competent and efficient medical professionals. We will exert all efforts to improve the welfare of our doctors, our nurses, and other medical frontliners,” dagdag nito.
Inihayag din ng Pangulo na dapat magkaroon ng sapat na suplay ng gamot sa bansa.
“Sinimulan ko na ang pakikipag-usap sa mga kumpanya ng gamot dito sa Pilipinas at sa ibang bansa. Hinihikayat natin na buksan nila ang merkado upang bumaba ang presyo ng gamot,” ani Marcos.
