Rep. Martin Romualdez, naihalal bilang bagong House Speaker

Nahalal bilang bagong Speaker ng House of Representative si Leyte 1st District Rep. Martin Romualdez.

Sa pagbubukas ng sesyon ng 19th Congress, mismong ang pamangkin ni Romualdez na si Presidential son at Ilocos Norte First District Rep. Sandro Marcos ang nag-nominate kay Romualdez.

Nakakuha si Romualdez ng 282 na boto, apat na abstain at isa ang hindi bomoto.

Aabot naman sa 22 kongressista ang hindi nakaboto.
