Medical, scientific experts kay PBBM Jr: Madami ang maililigtas ng Vape Bill
Hinikayat ng medical at scientific experts si Pangulong Marcos Jr., na pirmahan ang Vape Bill sa katuwiran na maraming buhay ang maililigtas ng panukala.
Anila sa pamamagitan ng Vape Bill magkakaroon ng ‘less harmful nicotine alternatives’ ang 16 milyong Filipino na naninigarilyo.
“We believe that it could help mitigate the serious health risks and possibly save the lives of more than 16 million current Filipino smokers who are at very high risk from getting sick and dying due to smoking-related complications,” ayon sa sulat ng grupo kay Pangulong Marcos Jr., na may petsang Hulyo 8.
Paniwala nila maiiwasan ang pagkamatay ng halos 300 Filipino kada araw dahil sa sakit na iniuugnay sa sigarilyo kung mabibigyan sila ng mga alternatibo.
“We are referring to smoking alternatives like vape products that could, at the very least, help mitigate the risks of serious smoking-related complications,” anila.
Magiging makasaysayan din anila para sa administrasyong-Marcos Jr., ang pagsasabatas ng Vape Bill dahil maililigtas nito ang milyong-milyong buhay.
Binanggit pa nila ang datos ng World Health Organization (WHO) na apat na porsiyento lang ng mga naninigarilyong Filipino ang tumatalikod sa bisyo.
Napatunayan na sa maraming bansa na epektibo ang e-cigarettes, vape at heated tobacco products para mapatigil sa paninigarilyo.
