P33.4-M hinahanap ng COA sa NTF-ELCAC

Pinuna ng Commission on Audit (COA) ang kabiguan ng National Task Force to End Local Commission Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) na ipaliwanag ang paggasta sa higit P33.4 milyon sa kanilang pondo.

Sa isinumiteng 2021 audit report sa Office of the Presidente, tumanggap ang National Security Council (NSC) ng P52.9 milyong pondo para sa kontrobersyal na task force.

Nabatid na naglaan ang OP ng P65.1 milyon para sa NTF-ELCAC ngunit P52.9 milyon lamang ang nailipat sa NSC.

“As of December 31, 2021, the unliquidated balance of the fund amounted to ₱33,445,805.43,” ayon sa ulat ng COA.

Iginiit naman ni dating National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon naiulat na nila ang lahat ng pinaggamitan ng pondo ng binuong anti-insurgency task force.

“We have liquidated all 2021 OP funds for NTF-ELCAC,” ani Esperon.

Noong nakaraang taon, maraming senador ang hiniling na alisan ng pondo ang NTF-ELCAC bunga ng red-tagging sa ilang indibiduwal at organisasyon.
