Pagbawi ng CHEd sa moratorium sa undergrad nursing programs pinuri ni Sen. Chiz Escudero

Tamang hakbang, ayon kay Senator Francis Escudero, ang pagbawi ng Commission on Higher Education (CHEd) sa 11-taong moratorium na nagbawal sa mga kolehiyo at unibersidad sap ag-aalok ng undergraduate nursing programs.

Mangangahulugan ito, ayon sa mamumuno ng Senate Committee on Higher Education, na makakasiguro na may sapat na medical frontliners sa bansa kung magkakaroon muli ng global health crisis.

“Malaking hamon noong kasagsagan ng pandemya ang kakulangan natin sa mga health workers, kabilang na ang ating mga nurses. We are still in a pandemic and we will be needing more medical workers. That is why we have to start rebuilding our workforce now so we don’t have to go through the same harrowing experience should another health crisis comes,” pagpupunto ng senador.

Ibinahagi pa niya na sa pagbubukas ng 19th Congress nais niya na masuri ang kasalukuyang estado ng ‘higher education’ sa bansa

“Ating pagtutuunan ng pansin ang mga panukalang batas na naglalayong mapatatag pa nang husto ang edukasyon sa bansa. But we have to ensure that any reform we will have to initiate will be doable and sustainable in the long run,” diin nito.
