Bagong P1,000 bill na nakatupi, pwede pa ring tanggapin bilang pangbayad

Maari pa ring tanggapan bilang pangbayad ang bagong P1,000 bill kahit na nakatupi o naka-stapler.

Sa Laging Handa Public Briefing, sinabi ni Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Managing Director Tony Lambino na, “possession and use of stapled banknotes, although discouraged, is not illegal.”

Ayon kay Lambino, dapat tinatanggap ng business establishments ang mga ibinabayad na natuping P1,000 bill ito man ay polymer bank note o paper bank note.

Ayon kay Lambino, bagamat hindi ilegal ang pagtupi o pag-stapler ng P1,000 bill, hindi hinihikayat ng BSP na gawin ito.

Sinabi pa ni Lambino na bahagi pa lamang ng test circulation ang P1,000 bill polymer bank note

Matatandaang nag-viral sa social media ang hindi pagtanggap ng ilang business establishment sa natuping bagong pera.
