Nasagip ng mga tauhan ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Philippine National Police (PNP) at Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) ang 24 na trafficking in person (TIP) sa Isabela City Port sa Basilan.
Ayon sa PCG, patawid sana Malaysia ang mga TIP.
Sakay ang mga TIP ng MV Ciara Joie 8 at dumating sa Zamboanga City ng 11:30, Linggo ng umaga, July 17.
Nasa edad 11 hanggang 60-anyos ang mga TIP at mga residente ng Zamboanga City, Zamboanga Del Norte, Zamboanga Del Sur, Misamis Occidental, at Basilan.
Nasa kustodiya na ng DSWD ang mga TIP.
Nakikipag-ugnayan na ang DSWD sa mga pamilya ng mga TIP para sa kanilang pag-uwi.
