P1.5-B halaga ng smuggled goods kinumpiska ng BOC, AFP
Sinalakay ng mga ahente ng Bureau of Customs (BOC), katuwang ang mga tauhan ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), ang isang bodega sa Valenzuela City kung saan nadiskubre ang P1.5 bilyong halaga ng smuggled goods.
Kabilang sa mga kinumpiska ang mga pekeng produkto na may tatak na Christian Dior, Gucci, Michael Kors, Coach, Guess, Nike, Adidas, Hello Kitty, at Jordan, maging mga sabon na may tatak na Cetaphil, Safeguard, Nivea, at Johnsons Liquid Soap.
Kabilang din sa mga kinumpsika ay construction materials, housewares, kitchenware, household appliances, at consumer electronics lighting products.
Nadiskubre rin sa isang tago na bodega ang raw materials sa paggawa ng mga sigarilyo.
Inisyuhan ng Warrant of Seizure and Detention ang smuggled items alinsunod sa Republic Act 8293 o ang Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines at paglabag sa Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).
