PNP sa anti-SONA protesters: Bigyan muna ng chance si PBBM Jr.

Kasabay nang paghahanda sa ilalatag na security plan para sa kauna-unahang State of the Nation Address (SONA) ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. umapela ang Philippine National Police (PNP) sa mga magpoprotesta na bigyan muna ng pagkakataon ang bagong administrasyon.

Sinabi ni PNP director for operations, Maj. Gen. Val de Leon, na makakabuti kung hahayaan muna na mailatag ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. ang kanyang mga plano para sa bansa at sambayanan.

Kasabay nito, inanunsiyo ni de Leon ang pagbuo ng task force na mangangasiwa sa paglalatag ng security plan para sa SONA sa Hulyo 25.

Aniya, makikipag-ugnayan din ang task force sa mga kinauukulang ahensiya para sa pangangasiwa ng trapiko, pagharap sa mga raliyista at iba pang isyung pangseguridad.

“The security preparations would not be as stringent as the inauguration because this will be done in a closed building, but still we have to be very careful about surroundings, especially that Quezon City is a populated area,” sabi pa ng opisyal.

Una nang naglatag ng SONA security plan si National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) chief, Maj. Gen. Felipe Natividad, kay Interior Sec. Benhur Abalos at kasama dito ang pagtatalaga ng 15,000 security forces para magbantay.
