PBA, inihayag na hindi kinukunsinti ang anumang uri ng pang-aabuso

Naglabas ng pahayag ang Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) ukol sa napaulat na umano’y pang-aabuso na kinasasangkutan ng Blackwater basketball player na si Paul Desiderio.

Sa serye ng mga tweet, inisa-isa ng dating UAAP courtside reporter na si Agatha Uvero ang mga naranasang physical at emotional abuse sa gitna ng kanilang relasyon.

“This league will not tolerate any form of domestic abuse,” pahayag nito.

Dagdag nito, “No matter the cause or circumstances, physical and psychological abuse of women, whether in the confines of marriage or not, is inexcusable.”

Sinabi ng PBA na kailangang mabigyan ng seryosong atensyon ang naturang ulat.

“The league will conduct an inquiry and hand down its findings and resolution as soon as the facts are clearly established,” saad ng PBA.

Kampante rin aniya silang ibibigay ng pamunuan ng Blackwater ang buong kooperasyon at tulong sa naturang ulat.
