Free annual medical check-up sa bawat Filipino gusto ni Sen. Bong Go
Naghain ng panukala si Senator Christopher Go para magkaroon ng libreng medical check-up ang lahat ng Filipino kada taon.
Sa kanyang Free Annual Medical Check-Up Bill, nais ni Go na magpatupad ang Philhealth ng libreng medical check-up program para sa kanilang mga miyembro.
Kasama dito ang pagsasailalim sa screening, laboratory and diagnostic tests at konsultasyon sa doktor.
“Dahil kulang sa pera, maraming mga kababayan natin ang takot magpatingin sa doktor. Imbes na ibayad sa pagkonsulta, ibili na lang nila ng pagkain. Kaya simpleng high blood pressure, minsan ay lumalala pa at nahulog sa cardiovascual disease, kidney damage at iba pa. Kapeg seryoso ang sakit, mas magastos,” diin ng namumuno sa Senate Committee on Health.
Bahagi ito ng kagustuhan ni Go na mapalakas pa ang healthcare system sa bansa.
Ipinanukala din nito ang Comprehensive Dialysis Benefit Package sa lahat ng PhilHealth members, kompensasyon at insentibo sa Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), at pagpapatayo ng Center for Disease Control and Prevention gayundin ng Virology Science and Technology Institute of the Philippines.
