Disaster Department Bill inihain muli ni Sen. Bong Go
Sa kagustuhan na magkaroon ng kagawaran para sa pagtugon sa kalamidad, muling inihain ni Senator Christopher Go ang panukala para sa pagbuo ng Department of Disaster Resilience (DDR).
Ayon kay Go ito ay para sa pagkakaroon ng malinaw at nagkakaisang pagtugon sa lahat ng mga uri ng sakuna at kalamidad sa bansa.
“Sa pagpapatayo ng departamentong ito, mas magiging mabilis ang pagtugon ng pamahalaan, mas maiibsan ang masamang epekto ng kalamidad para mas mabilis makabangon ang ating mga kabababayan pagkatapos ng mga hindi inaasahang sakuna,” dagdag pa ng senador.
Kabilang din sa mga inihaing panukala ni Go sa pagbubukas ng 19th Congress ang rental housing subsidy, mandatory evacuation center, e-governance bill, center for disease control and prevention, the proposed Virology Science and Technology Institute of the Philippines, magna carta for barangays, at magna carta for Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) personnel
Bukod pa dito ang mga panukala para sa rural employment assistance, emergency medical services system, free legal assistance sa mga pulis at sundalo.
