Apat na Chinese, timbog sa isang warehouse ng sigarilyo sa Cavite
Nasamsam ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang P256.5 milyong halaga ng tobacco products at iba pangcigarette-making paraphernalia sa isang warehouse sa Tanza-Trece Martires Road sa bahagi ng Barangay De Ocampo sa Trece Martirez, Cavite.
Katuwang ang National Bureau of Investigation Special Action Unit (NBI SAU), nagresulta ang operasyon sa pagkakaaresto sa apat na Chinese national.
Kabilang sa raiding team ang ilang tauhan mula sa Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service-Manila International Container Port (CIIS-MICP) at Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) alinsunod sa Letter of Authority (LOA) at Mission Order (MO) ni Customs Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero.
Nadiskubre ng mga tauhan ng BOC ang raw materials para sa paggawa ng sigarilyo, tulad ng tobacco filler, filter paper at paper rod na tinatayang nagkakahalaga ng P105 milyon.
Maliban dito, natagpuan din ang isang filter maker, dalawang cigarette makers, at anim na packing machines na nagkakahalaga ng P75 milyon; apat na kahon ng tax stamps na nagkakahalaga ng P72 milyon; at 81 master cases ng Marvels cigarettes na nagkakahalaga ng P4.05 milyon.
Tumambad din sa mga awtoridad ang mga produkto tulad ng Marvels, Two Moon, Mighty, at iba pa.
Nagsagawa ng inventory sa naturang warehouse ang Customs examiners, na nasaksihan ng mga miyembro ng CIIS, Enforcement and Security Service (ESS), barangay officials, at mga representante ng warehouse.
Oras na makumpleto ang inventory, inaasahang maglalabas ng Warrant of Seizure and Detention (WSD), at magsasampa ng mga kaso laban sa warehouse operator.
