Sen. Sonny Angara: May libreng check-ups sa Universal Health Care Law
Hinikayat ni Senator Sonny Angara na samantalahin ng mga may sakit na libreng pa-check ups para hindi na lumala pa ang kanilang karamdaman, na hahantong sa kanilang confinement, gastos at kahit sa kamatayan.
Ginawa ito ni Angara base sa anunsiyo ng Department of Health (DOH) na dumami ang mga naoospital dahil sa ibat-ibang sakit.
Marami aniya sa mga kinailangan na manatili sa ospital ay hindi nakapagpa-check up sa kasagsagan ng pandemya kayat nagresulta sa komplikasyon.
“There is no reason for Filipinos, especially those with chronic ailments such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer, to further delay their consultations. For those who cannot afford to shoulder the costs of consultations and tests, the Universal Health Care law is there to help them,” paalala ni Angara.
Kinakailangan din aniya na mapabilis na ng gobyerno ang pagpapatupad ng UHC law, gayundin ang pagkasa ng Philhealth ng Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama (Konsulta) package.
Sa nakalipas na 18th Congress, inihain ni Angara ang Senate Bill 2297, na ang layon ay magkaroon ng taunang libreng medical check-ups ang lahat ng mga Filipino bilang isa sa mga benepisyo sa Philhealth.
Ang panukala ay ihahain ng senador sa pagbubukas ng 19th Congress.
