MMDA officials sinuri ang rehabilitasyon ng EDSA-Timog flyover

Personal na binisita ng mga opisyal ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ang EDSA-Timog-Kamuning flyover, na sumasailalim sa rehabiliasyon at pagsasa-ayos.

Kasama ni MMDA Chairman Romando Artes sa mga bumisita ang mga opisyal ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), PNP Highway Patrol Group at Inter-Agency Council for Traffic (IACT).

Sinabi ni Artes na ‘manageable’ pa naman ang lagay ng trapiko sa lugar.

Inialok niya sa mga motorista ang Mother Ignacia Avenue, Panay Avenue, Scout Albano at Scout Borromeo bilang mga alternatibong madadaanan sa pagpapasara ng southbound portion ng Timog flyover.

“Around 100 additional enforcers have been deployed to better manage traffic along EDSA. We will be assisted by the PNP-HPG as well as the local government of Quezon City,” ani Artes.

Tatagal ng isang buwan ang rehabilitasyon sa flyover.

Base sa datos ng MMDA Traffic Engineering Center, 109,124 sasakyan ang dumadaan sa naturang lugar kada araw, 57,354 ang dumadaan sa flyover at 51,770 naman sa service road.
