Ayon sa abiso ng Department of Energy, ito ay dahil sa mababang palitan ng piso kontra dolyar sa pandaigdigang merkado.
Ayon sa DOE, maaring umabot sa P1 ang itaas sa presyo ng diesel kada litro samantalang hindi naman aabot sa piso ang itataas sa presyo ng kerosene kada litro.
Ayon sa DOE, dahil sa patuloy na paghina ng piso kontra dolyar, Malabo pang magpatupad ng rollback sa presyo ng produktong petrolyo.
Una rito, tumaas ang presyo ng produktong petrolyo dahil sa pag-atake ng Russia sa Ukraine.
