Pinaalahanan ng Commission on Audit (COA) ang Philippine Amusement Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) ukol sa bilyong-bilyong piso na hindi pa nakokolekta na kita mula sa Philippine Offshore Gaming Operations (POGOs).
Sa sulat ng COA, sinabi na P2.328 bilyon o 78 porsiyento sa P2.971 bilyon na kinita ng POGOs sa higit isang taon ay hindi pa nasisingil.
Nabatid na P815.902 milyon sa sinisingil ay ‘under protest’ kayat may P11.512 bilyon pa ang hindi nakokolekta.
“The presence of substantial accounts receivable from POGOs has been a persistent issue for several years despite the existence of collection procedures,” ayon pa sa COA.
Ikinatuwiran naman ng Pagcor na ang mga hindi pa nakokolektang kita ay dahil sa kanilang kampaniya laban sa illegal online gambling.
Pinayuhan na lang din ng COA ang state gaming agency na ayusin na ang mga ‘under protest’ na singilin sa POGOs.
