PBBM Jr. bilang Agriculture secretary, ‘excellent decision’ sabi ni SP Tito Sotto III
Kapuri-puri para kay outgoing Senate President Vicente Sotto III ang desisyon ni President-elect Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr., na pamunuan ang Department of Agriculture (DA).
Sinabi ni Sotto grabe na ang korapsyon sa naturang kagawaran at tiwala ito na malilinis ito ni Marcos.
“I think it’s an excellent decision. It is one of the issues that we talked about when we met. Unfortunately, with due respect, the DA has been embroiled in so much corruption especially in the issue of smuggling, technical smuggling,” sabi ni Sotto.
Ibinahagi din ng senador na sa kanyang pagkaka-alam may hawak din ng listahan ng mga pangalan ng mga sangkot sa agrilcultural product smuggling ang uupong bagong pangulo ng bansa.
“Lock, stock and barrel. I’m expecting the incoming president to scrutinize everything. He knows what’s going on. As a matter of fact, I am not sure if I am at liberty to say so, but I know for a fact that he already has a list of those involved in the smuggling,” dagdag pa nito.
Una nang ibinahagi ni Sotto kay Marcos ang pangalan ng mga opisyal ng gobyerno na sangkot sa ilegal na pag-aangkat ng mga produktong-agrikultural at ang mga ito rin aniya ay binanggit niya sa isinumite niyang committee report ng pinamunuan niyang Committee of the Whole.
