BI, ipapa-deport ang Koryanong wanted dahil sa telco fraud
Naaresto ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) ang puganteng Koryano na wanted dahil sa telecommunications fraud.
Sa ulat kay BI Commissioner Jaime Morente, nahuli ng Fugitive Search Unit (FSU) ng ahensya si Jung Inhyeok, 42-anyos, sa bahagi ng Barangay Poblacion sa San Fernando, Cebu noong Hunyo 13.
Armado ang mga tauhan ng ahensya ng warrant of deportation na inilabas ni Morente alinsunod sa summary deportation order na inaprubahan ng BI Board of Commissioners laban kay Jung noong nakaraang taon.
“He will thus be immediately sent back to Korea as he was already ordered deported for being an undesirable, overstaying and undocumented alien,” ani Morente.
Kinansela na rin ng South Korean government ang pasaporte ni Jung.
Kabilang na rin ang nasabing dayuhan sa immigration blacklist at hindi na maaring makabalik ng bansa.
Base sa impormasyon ng National Central Bureau (NCB) ng Interpol sa Maynila, may kinakaharap na warrant of arrest si Jung mula sa Seoul western district court dahil sa fraud noong Abril 16, 2015.
Nag-operate umano si Jung ng phone scam syndicate kung saan umabot mahigit 65 million Korean won o US$50,500 ang naloko sa mga biktima, sa pamamagitan ng voice phishing na nagpapanggap bilang bank official o seller ng isang call center sa Thailand.
Lumabas din sa datos travel record nito na simula oa Oktubre 27, 2017 nang magtago si Jung sa bansa.
Nananatiling nakakulong si Jung sa BI Warden Facility sa Camp Bagong Diwa, Taguig City habang hinihintay ang deportation nito.
