Pag-amyenda sa Saligang Batas matagal ng hinog – DILG official
Sinabi ng isang mataas na opisyal ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) na napapanahon na para sa amyendahan ang 1987 Constitution.
“Thirty-five years after it (Constitution) was ratified, it is time to give it a new and closer look, not in the spirit of carping or disdainful criticism, but in a sincere effort to make it responsive to the demands of our times,” sabi ni Usec. Jonathan Malaya, ang namumuno sa Inter-Agency Task Force on Constitutional Reforms.
Sinabi ni Malaya kailangan ang pagbabago sa Saligang Batas para makatugon sa mga pangangailangan ng lipunan.
Ang pahayag na ito ng opisyal ay pagsuporta sa balak ni Senator-elect Robin Padilla, na nakatakdang pamunuan ang Senate Committee on Constitutional Reforms.
Nakahanda sila ani Malaya na magbigay ng kakailanganing tulong ni Padilla.
Pinuri niya ang baguhang senador sa maagang paglalatag ng kanyang plano, na aniya ay hindi madaling gawin dahil marami ang kontra at kadalasan na napupulitika.
