“We demand a just transition to 100% renewable energy before 2050. This will involvecommitment from stakeholders like ACEF to align financing and policies to phase out fossil fuels and enable the accelerated deployment of renewable technologies,” pahayag ni Nacpil.
“It is already possible for energy for electricity, transport, building heating or cooling, and industry to be supplied reliably with 100% renewable energy. The ADB must go beyond hollow pledges for low carbon transition in Asia-Pacific and immediately end all forms of support for all fossil fuel projects, not just coal, and implement rapid, just and equitable phaseout of fossil fuels and transition to clean energy,” pahayag ni Nacpil.
