Arestado ang 12 katao matapos makumpiskahan ng 133 na piraso ng broken giant clam shells o taklobo sa Daanbantayan, Cebu.
Ayon sa ulat ng Philippine Coast Guard, nagsagawa ng entrapment operation ang kanilang hanay katuwang ang Coast guard Intelligence Group Central Visayas, Criminal Investigation Group at Philippine Air Force laba sa mga suspek.
Tinatayang nagkakahalaga ng P36 milyong halaga ng giant clam ang nasamsam ng mga awtoridad.
Agad namang itinurn-over ang mga nakumpiskang giant clam sa Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic resources sa Tapilon Port sa Daanbantayan.
