P129-M halaga ng mga pekeng produkto, nasamsam sa Pampanga

Nasamsam ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) ang IPR-infringing goods na nagkakahalaga ng P129 milyon sa Pampanga.

Sanib-pwersa sa operasyon ang Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service-Intellectual Property Rights Division (CIIS-IPRD), CIIS-Port of Clark, at Port of Manila (POM).

Armado ng Letters of Authority (LOA) na inilabas ni BOC Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero, nag-inspeksyon ang mga tauhan ng CIIS-IPRD, CIIS-Port of Clark, BOC-POM, National Bureau of Investigation – National Capital Region, FIMA Legal Consultancy team, at Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) sa mga warehouse sa Golden Sun 999 Industrial Park, Dela Paz, San Simon.

Bago ang pagselyo sa mga warehouse, nagsagawa ng inisyal na inventory ng mga produkto na may tatak na Louis Vuitton, Paul Frank, Adidas, Hello Kitty, Spider Man, at iba pa.

Nakuha rin ng mga awtoridad ang iba pang produkto tulad ng dishwashing liquid at Tiger Motorcycle Lubricant.

Magkakasa ang mga awtoridad ng mas malalim na imbestigasyon sa posibleng paglabag sa Republic Act 8293 o Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines at Republic Act 10863 o Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.

Sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni Guerrero, siniguro ng BOC na patuloy nilang poprotektahan ang interes ng bansa sa pamamagitan ng istriktong pagpapatupad ng Customs laws.
