Tataas ang singil sa kuryente sa Hunyo.
Ayon sa Meralco, aabot sa P80 ang itataas sa total bill sa mga residential costumer na kumukunsumo ng 200 kilowatt hour kada buwan.
Nasa P119 naman ang itatataas sa mga kumukunsumo ng 300 kilowatt hour, P159 sa mga kumukunsumo ng 400 kilowatt hour at P199 sa mga kumukunsumuo ng 500 kilowatt hour kada buwan.
Paliwanag ng Meralco, tataas ang singil sa kuryente dahil sa pagtaas ng overall rate ng generation charges na nasa 33.13 centavos,
Tumaas din kasi ayon sa Meralco ang charges sa Independent Power Producersat Power Supply Agreements pati na ang sa First Gas power plants.
Sinabi pa ng Meralco na tumaas din ang coal prices.
