Presensiya ng 100 Chinese vessels sa Spratlys inalmahan ng Pilipinas

Naghain ng panibagong diplomatic protest ang Pilipinas sa China kaugnay sa pagdagsa muli ng higit 100 Chinese vessels sa Julian Felipe Reef sa Spratlys noong Abril 4.

Sa pag-protesta, hiniling ng Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) sa gobyerno ng China na paalisin ang lahat ng kanilang mga barko sa loob ng teritoryo ng Pilipinas.

Ipinunto ng DFA na ang pananatili ng higit 100 Chinese vessels sa lugar ay paglabag sa 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS), gayundin sa 2016 Arbitral Award na ibinigay sa Pilipinas.

Paglabag din ito, ayon pa sa kagawaran, sa pangako ng China sa ilalim ng 2002 Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea.
