Halaga ng pinsala sa agrikultura dahil sa pag-alburoto ng Mt. Bulusan, umabot sa P1.58-M
Nilinaw ng Department of Agriculture (DA) na umabot sa P1.58 milyon ang halaga ng natamong pinsala sa agrikultura ng nangyaring “phreatic eruption” sa Bulkang Bulusan.
“There has been a decrease in total value of production loss, particularly on rice, from Php 16.85 million yesterday to Php 1.58 million today due to the field validation conducted by DA RFO 5,” paliwanag ng kagawaran base sa inilabas na abiso bandang 12:00, Huwebes ng tanghali (Hunyo 9).
Iniulat din ng DA Regional Field Office 5 na 187 magsasaka at mangingisda ang apektado, at ang 47 ektaryang agricultural areas na may production loss na walong metriko tonelada sa munisipalidad ng Juban, Casiguran, at Irosin sa Sorsogon.
Siniguro ng DA RFO 5 na mahigpit pa rin silang nakikipag-ugnayan sa Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) Sorsogon and Municipal Local Government Units (MLGUs) upang mabantayan sa sitwasyon sa naturang bulkan.
Binigyan na ng tulong ang mga apektadong magsasaka at mangingisda:
1. Rice, corn at iba’t ibang vegetable seeds;
2. Drugs at biologics para sa livestock at poultry
3. Survival and Recovery (SURE) Program ng Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC);
4. Pondo mula sa Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC);
5. Quick Response Fund (QRF) para sa rehabilitasyon ng mga apektadong lugar.
Sa ngayon, nananatili sa Alert Level 1 ang Bulkang Bulusan.
