Bagong renovate na Capitol building sa Sorsogon, isa ng atraksyon

Nakumpleto na ng Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) ang restoration at renovation ng 105-year old Capitol Building sa Sorsogon City.

Sa ulat kay DPWH Secretary Roger Mercado, sinabi ni Regional Office 5 Director Virgilio Eduarte na ginawang one-stop building ang Sorsogon Provincial Capitol, kung saan makikita ang lahat ng provincial department office.

Inabalik ang orihinal na neo-classic design nito sa pamamagitan ng inilaang P99 milyong pondo sa naturang proyekto.

“The Provincial Capitol is open 24 hours so that people can visit and walk through the hallways to witness and appreciate the architectural works and paintings done by local and regional artists,” ani Eduarte.

Tapos na rin ang waterproofing sa roof deck at iba pang apektadong lugar, at nakapagdagdag na rin ng mga cabinet.

Naglagay na rin ng elevator para sa mga taong may kapansanan.

Binibisita na ang naturang gusali ng mga lokal at turista dahil sa taglay nitong state-of-the-art facilities.

Nakilala na rin ito dahil itinuturing na ang gusali bilang landmark ng Sorsogon City.

Natapos ng DPWH – Sorsogon 1st District Engineering Office ang restoration project noong mga unang buwan ng 2022, katuwang ang lokal na pamahalaan.
