P10-M halaga ng smuggled na sigarilyo, nasamsam sa Bataan

Nasabat ng Bureau of Customs (BOC) – Port of Limay ang P10 milyong halaga ng smuggled na sigarilyo sa Orion, Bataan noong Hunyo 6.

Armado ng Letter of Authority ni Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero, sinalakay ng BOC-Limay, Enforcement Security Services (ESS), Customs Intelligence and Investigation Service (CIIS), Philippine National Police (PNP) – Orion, at Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) – K9 Unit ang isang tindahan at resort sa bahagi ng Barangay San Vicente.

Base ito sa nakuhang impormasyon ng pantalan ukol sa umano’y kontrabando na ilegal na ibinebenta sa nasabing lugar.

Sa inspeksyon, tumambad ang 487 master cases ng smuggled na sigarilyo.

Dinala ang mga kontrabando sa tanggapan ng ahensya.

Iimbestigahan din ang mga sangkot na personalidad at dadalhin sa BATAS para sa case build-up at posibleng pagsasampa ng kaso dahil sa paglabag sa Section 1401 ng Republic Act 10863 o Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (CMTA).
