Pangulong Duterte, walang balak suspendihin ang oil excise tax
Walang balak si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na suspendihin ang excise tax sa produktong petrolyo.
Ito ay kahit na nagpatupad na naman ng bigtime price increase ang mga kompanya ng langis simula sa araw ng Martes, Hunyo 7.
Ayon kay acting presidential spokesman Martin Andanar, simula noong Marso, hindi nababago ang posisyon ni Pangulong Duterte.
Sinasang-ayunan kasi aniya ng Pangulo ang rekomendasyon ng kanyang economic team na huwag suspendihin ang excise fuel tax dahil maapektuhan ang kita ng gobyerno na ibina-budget para ipang-sweldo sa mga guro, ipang-pondo sa ‘Build, Build, Build’ program at iba pang programa ng pamahalaan.
Sinabi pa ni Andanar na ipinauubaya na ng Palasyo sa susunod na administrasyon ni incoming President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. ang pagpapasya kung sususpendihin ang excise tax sa produktong petrolyo.
Tumaas ng mahigit P6 ang presyo ng diesel kada litro simula sa araw ng Martes.
