MMDA, nagbabala ukol sa paggamit ng walang plaka at hindi rehistradong sasakyan

Nagbabala ang Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) ukol sa paggamit ng mga hindi rehistrado at walang plakang personal na sasakyan.

Sa inilabas na memorandum, pinaalalahanan ni MMDA Chairman Atty. Romando Artes ang lahat ng traffic personnel kasunod ng nag-viral na Facebook post ng Facebook post of Riders’ Safety Advocates of the Philippines (RSAP).

Nakita sa post ang MMDA traffic enforcer na si Wilfredo Ordoña na nagmamaneho ng motorsiklo nang walang plaka at hindi rehistrado sa northbound lane ng EDSA-Boni noong Lunes, Mayo 30.

Si Ordoña ay nakatalaga sa TDO Parking Management Team.

Ipinaalala ni Artes ang tungkulin ng mga tauhan ng ahensya sa publiko, lalo na ang traffic enforcers na nakatalaga upang hulihin ang mga motoristang nagkakaroon ng traffic violations.

Inatasan ni Artes si Atty. Victor Maria Nuñez, Director for Enforcement of MMDA Traffic Discipline Office (TDO), na patawan ng parusa si Ordoña sa pamamagitan ng paglalabas ng traffic citation tickets dahil sa kaniyang paglabag.

“The MMDA is mandated to strictly implement traffic rules and regulations. Hence, we should lead by example,” giit ni Artes.

Ipinaalala rin ng MMDA chief sa lahat ng kanilang empleyado na iwasang masangkot sa anumang aktibidad na labag sa batas.

“Violators will not only be issued the corresponding citation ticket but could also face administrative sanctions such as suspension and outright dismissal for contract of service personnel,” saad nito.

Aniya pa, “If proven guilty, we will file the necessary administrative charges, whether permanent, casual, or on job order status, subject to applicable rules and regulations.”
