Ang papasok na administrasyon ni President-elect Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos Jr. na lamang ang pag-asa ng limang opisyal na itinalaga sa puwesto ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Matapos maudlot ng ilang ulit ang pagharap sa Commission on Appointments, nauwi sa ‘bypassed’ ang appointment nina Commission on Election Chairman Saidamen Pangarungan, Civil Service Commission Comm. Karlo Nograles, Commission on Audit Chairperson Rizalina Justol, Comelec Comms. George Erwin Garcia at Aimee Neri.

Unang nagbigay ng kanilang paunang pahayag si Sen. Koko Pimentel at sinundan siya ni Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri.

Kasunod nito, nagpatawag ng ‘roll call’ si Sen. Cynthia Villar, ang chairperson ng CA – Committee on Constitutional Offices.

Lumabas na walong miyembro lamang ng komite ang ‘present’ at kinapos lamang ng isang bilang para magka-quorum.

Bunga nito, inanunsiyo ni Villar na ‘adjourned’ na ang deliberasyon nang hindi na pinahaharap ang appointees.
