P100-M halaga ng mga pekeng produkto, nahuli sa Pasay
Nahuli ng Bureau of Customs (BOC), sa pamamagitan ng Port of Manila (POM), ang mga pekeng produkto sa pasay City noong Miyerkules, Mayo 25.
Sa bisa ng Letters of Authority (LOA) mula kay BOC Commissioner Rey Leonardo Guerrero, nag-inspeksyon ang mga tauhan mula sa POM-Enforcement and Security Services, POM-Formal Entry Division, Legal Service, at Philippine Coast Guard sa ilang warehouse sa bahagi ng #115 Cuneta Avenue.
Bago ang pagselyo sa mga warehouse, nagsagawa ng inisyal na inventory sa mga produkto.
Tumambad sa mga awtoridad ang mga pekeng sapatos, bag, at damit na may tatak na Gucci, Havaianas, Marvel, Nike, Adidas, at iba pa.
Tinatayang nagkakahalaga ng P100 milyon ang mga kontrabando.
Hiningan ang mga representante ng mga warehouse ng importation documents at iba pang kinakailangang permit para sa mga produkto.
Magsasagawa ang ahensya ng mas malalim na imbestigasyon dahil sa posibleng paglabag sa Intellectual Property Code of the Philippines (RA 8293) at Customs Modernization and Tariff Act (RA 10863).
