Returning OFWs hindi na malilibre sa pasahe, accomadation

Simula sa darating na Hunyo 1, suspindido na ang transportation and accommodation assistance sa mga nagbabalik na OFWs, ayon sa Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA).

Sinabi ni OWWA Administrator Hans Leo Cacdac ang tulong ay ibibigay lamang sa in distress OFWs na sertipikado ng Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) o ng authorized OWWA airport officers.

Magpapatuloy din aniya ang tulong sa OFWs na bahagi ng repatriation program ng gobyerno.

Paliwanag pa ni Cadac ang suspensyon ay base sa decision ng Inter Agency Task Force (IATF) na ilagay ang Metro Manila at malaking bahagi ng bansa sa Alert Level 1.

Ang mga partially vaccinated at unvaccinated OFWs na kinakailangan sumailalim sa mandatory facility-based quarantine ay may accommodation assistance pa rin.

Paglilinaw lamang ni Cacdac na ang pasahe ng mga ito pauwi ay hindi na sasagutin ng gobyerno.
