Gusto ni Senate Majority Leader Juan Miguel Zubiri na isantabi muna ang uspain ukol sa pamumuno sa papasok na 19th Congress,
Ayon kay Zubiri pagkatapos ng proklamasyon ng mga bagong mamumuno sa bansa atsaka pag-uusapan ng ‘super majority’ ng Senado ang pamumuno sa Mataas na Kapulungan ng Kongreso.
Nilinaw pa nito na iisa ang grupo nila ni Sen. Chiz Escudero at pag-uusapan nila kung sino ang mamumuno sa kanilang grupo.
Ibinahagi nito na matagal na silang nag-uusap ni Sen. Cynthia Villar, na isa din sa napapa-ulat na target din na pamunuan ang Senado.
Pagtitiyak ni Zubiri, makabuo mana sila ng ‘super majority’ sa Senado, magpapatuloy ang pagiging ‘independent’ ng mga senador.
“We will never stifle the independent senator advocacies, protect the institution by recognizing traditions and rules. The independence of the institution, I think we have proven that,” diin nito.
