762 pulis, pinagkalooban ng Order of Lapu-Lapu Rank of Kamagi
Ipinagkaloob ang Order of Lapu-Lapu Rank of Kamagi sa 762 tauhan ng Philippine National Police sa isinagawang Conferment Ceremony sa PNP National Headquarters sa Camp Crame, araw ng Lunes (Mayo 23).
Sa bisa ng Executive Order No. 35, na pinirmahan ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte noong July 28, 2017, iginawad ang mga medalya ni PNP Officer-in Charge Police Lt. Gen. Vicente Danao Jr., kasama ang mga miyembro ng Command Group, sa mga PNP personnel upang bigyang pagkilala ang naging tungkulin sa Marawi siege noong 2017.
“These awardees especially those who came from Marawi City really sacrificed themselves even in the risk of leaving their families just to protect our country,” pahayag ni Danao.
Dagdag nito, “And even in the risking of their own lives, ay talagang buwis buhay. Kung makikita ninyo ang award, pulang-pula, ibig sabihin ay hindi lang ordinaryong sakripisyo ang ginawa ng ating mga men in uniform kundi talagang buwis buhay ang kanilang ibinigay.”
Nasa kabuuang 819 na tauhan ng pambansang pulisya ang nakatanggap ng Order of Lapu-Lapu Rank of Kamagi. Sa nasabing bilang, 52 ang nagawaran ng medalya noon pang 2017.
