Lumusot na sa third and final reading ang panukala para sa lifetime validity ng birth, marriage at death certificates.
Sa 23 boto, naaprubahan na sa plenaryo ang Senate Bill 2450 o ang Permanent Validity of the Certificates of Live Birth, Death and Marriage Act.
Kinakailangan na lamang, buuin ang bicameral panel para mapagkasunduan ang bersyon ng panukala ng Senado sa bersyon ng katulad na panukala na lumusot naman sa Mababang Kapulungan.
Iniisyu ang mga nabanggit na sertipiko ng Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) gayundin ng Local Registry Office at Philippine Foreign Service Post.
Ayon kay Sen. Bong Revilla Jr., namumuno sa Senate Committee on Civil Service at sponsor ng panukala, makakatipid na sa panahon at gastusin ang mga Filipino.
Pinasalamatan na rin niya ang mga kapwa senador na sumuporta sa panukala.
