Veteran actress Susan Roces namayapa na, ayon kay Sen. Grace Poe
Sumakabilang buhay ngayon gabu ang beteranang aktres na si Susan Roces, ang tinaguriang ‘Queen of Philippine Movies, sa edad na 80.
Si Sen. Grace Poe, sa kanyang social media account, ang nagsapubliko ng pagpanaw ng kanyang ina, na Jesusa Purificacion Levy Sonora-Poe sa tunay na buhay.
“With great sadness, we announce the loss of our beloved Jesusa Sonora Poe, whom many of you know as Susan Roces. She passed away peacefully on a Friday evening, May 20, 2022, surrounded by love and warmth, with her daughter Grace, her nephews Joseph and Jeffrey and many of her family and close friends,” ang post ng senadora.
Dagdag pa ni Poe, kapiling na ng kanyang ina ang kanyang ama, si Fernando Poe Jr., o FPJ, na kilala naman sa bansag na ‘Da King.’
“She lived life fully and gracefully. Remember her in her beauty, warmth and kindness. She is now with the Lord and her beloved Ronnie — FPJ. We will miss her sorely but we celebrate a life well-lived. Susan Roces — daughter, mother, grandmother, a true Filipina and a national treasure,” dagdag pa ni Sen. Poe.
Ipinanganak ang namayapa noong Hulyo 29, 1941 at nagbida sa kanyang unang pelikula, Mga Bituin ng Kinabukasan,’ noong 1952.
