Mas magiging maginhawa na ang pagbiyahe ng mga commuter ng Light Rail Transit Line 2 (LRT-2).
Kasunod ito ng pagsasaayos at pagiging operational ng karagdagang escalators at elevators sa nasabing linya ng tren.
Sa datos hanggang Mayo 17, 66 sa 72 escalators at 40 elevators ng LRT-2 ay operational na, ayon sa Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA).
Layon ng rehabilitasyon at pagsasaayos ng station escalators at elevators upang mapagbuti ang accessibility ng rail service sa publiko, partikular ang mga nakatatanda, buntis, at taong may kapansanan.
“The LRTA’s top priority is to ensure that everyone, especially the mobility-challenged train riders — the elderly or senior citizens, pregnant women, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) — can easily move around its stations and board its trains,” pahayag ni LRTA.
Aabot sa 300,000 katao ang daily ridership ng LRT-2.
