DOF pinuri si Sen. Cynthia Villar sa pagsusulong ng Rice Tarrification Law
Malaki ang naitulong ng Rice Tarrification Law sa paglago ng ekonomiya ng bansa sa ilalim ng administrasyong-Duterte, ito ang sinabi ni Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III.
Bunga nito, pinuri ni Dominguez si Senator Cynthia Villar, ang nagsulong ng naturang batas.
Pinasalamatan naman ni Villar si Dominguez sa pagkilala sa kanyang naiambag para mapagbuti ang ekonomiya ng bansa.
Sa kanyang naging presentasyon na may titulong: “ The Ship of State Has Been Masterfully Steered,” binanggit ni Dominguez ang mga napagtagumpayan ng administrasyon para mapalawak ang ekonomiya.
Nabanggit nito na malaki ang nagawa ng Rice Tarrification Law at ang positibong epekto nito sa sektor ng agrikultura.
“The law opened up the rice market, imposed tariff on imported rice, created the Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund and lowered the price commodity in the market for the benefit of the general population,” sabi pa ni Dominguez.
Nang maipasa ang batas noong 2019, kumite na ang gobyerno ng P46.6 bilyon mula sa taripa ng mga imported na bigas.
