LRT-2, may alok na libreng sakay sa mga PWD sa araw ng eleksyon
May hatid na libreng sakay sa Persons with Disabilities (PWD) o taong may kapansanan sa araw ng eleksyon sa Mayo 9.
Ayon sa Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA), isa ito sa mga naging hakbang ng Department of Transportation (DOTr), sa pamamagitan ng Task Force on Disability Affairs, upang mabigyan ng access ang mga PWD sa eleksyon.
Libreng makakasakay ang lahat ng PWD sa LRT-2 anumang oras mula 5:00 ng umaga hanggang 8:30 ng gabi (Antipolo station) at 9:00 ng gabi (Recto station).
Upang ma-avail ang libreng sakay, kailangan lamang magpakita ng PWD passenger ng balidong PWD ID sa /station personnel pagpasok ng AFCS gates.
“The provision of accessible transportation is one of the main requirements for PWD to be able to participate in the national elections. LRT-2 is ready and available to accommodate them,” pahayag ni LRTA Administrator Jeremy Regino.
Hinikayat ni Regino ang lahat ng PWD na bibiyahe ng tren patungo sa voting precinct na manatili sa Special Boarding Area (SBA), ang designated area para sa senior Citizens, PWDs at buntis. Mayroon ding nakahandang wheelchair sa loob ng mga tren.
Paalala ng LRTA sa mga pasahero, sundin ang mga safety at security protocol, maging ang minimum health protocols.
