5,000 senior citizens sa QC, nakatanggap ng libreng maintenance na gamot

Aabot sa halos 5,000 senior citizens ang nadagdag sa listahan na makikinabang sa Quezon City Senior Citizens Maintenance Medicine program.

Ayon kay Quezon City Mayor Joy Belmonte, makatatangap ng buwang gamot ang mga senior citizen.

Kabilang sa mga gamot na ibibigay ay ang para sa sakit na hypertension, diabetes, at mataas na cholesterol.

Ayon kay Belmonte, libreng ipamimigay ang Losartan (50mg/tab), Amlodipine (5mg/tab), Metformin (500mg/tab), at Simvastatin (20mg/tab) nang libre.

Sa kabuuan, nasa 40,000 senior citizens na ang nabigyan ng libreng gamot.

“We always wanted to make our healthcare accessible to all residents, especially to our senior citizens. Gusto nating tanggalin na ‘yung problema buhat ng kawalan ng pera pambili ng gamot, at the same time, maiparamdam na aalagaan natin sila dito sa QC,” pahayag ni Belmonte.

“Tuluy-tuloy ang ginagawa nating caravan sa ating mga komunidad para mas marami pang lolo at lola ang makatanggap ng libreng gamot at iba pang serbisyong pang-senior citizen,” dagdag ng mayor.

Pinapayuhan ang mga senior citizen na nagnanais na makakuha ng libreng gamot na magtungo lamang sa pinakamalapit na health center at magdala ng QCitizen ID o Office of the Senior Citizen Affairs (OSCA) ID.
