Atty. John Rex Laudiangco, itinalaga bilang acting spokesperson ng Comelec
Tatlong araw bago ang 2022 National and Local Elections sa Mayo 9, itinalaga ni Commission on Election (Comelec) Chairman Saidamen Pangarungan si Atty. John Rex Laudiangco bilang acting spokesperson ng poll body.
Sa memorandum, sinabi ni Pangarungan na ‘effective immediately’ ang bagong posisyon ni Laudiangco.
Sinabi ng Comelec chair na direktang magre-report si Laudiangco kay Commissioner George Erwin Garcia.
Si Laudiangco ay Director III ng law department ng poll body.
Pinalitan ni Laudiangco si James Jimenez. Ngunit, mananatili si Jimenez bilang director ng Education and Information Department (EID) ng Comelec.
Sa Twitter, nagparating ng mensahe si Jimenez para kay Laudiangco, “I offer him my heartiest congratulations and wish him all the best.”
Magugunitang sangkot si Jimenez at iba pang opisyal ng poll body sa hindi nabayarang P14 milyong utang sa Sofitel Hotel para sa idinaos na presidential at vice presidential debates.
