Sen. Villanueva, nakuha ang suporta ng Bangsamoro groups
Nakuha ni reelectionist Senator Joel Villanueva ang suporta ng Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) at Central Committee ng Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF).
Sinabi ni Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) Chief Minister Murad Ebrahim na napili ng pinamumunuan niyang United Bangsamoro Justice Party si Villanueva dahil sa naiambag nito sa Bangsamoro.
Sa hiwalay na pahayag naman ng Bangsamoro Party, ang partido pulitikal ng MNLF, sinabi na, “We need the steadfast Joel ‘TESDAMAN’ Villanueva, an anchor of labor and educational policies, to be our partner for the development of the Bangsamoro Region.”
Agad namang pinasalamatan ni Villanueva ang dalawang grupo sa nagkakaisang suporta ng Bangsamoro sa kanyang kandidatura.
Magugunitang naging aktibo ang senador sa pagpasa ng Bangsamoro Organic Law, kung saan ipinaglaban niya ang religious freedom sa teritoryo ng Bangsamoro.
Bago pa ito, una nang nagpahayag ng suporta kay Villanueva ang League of Provinces of the Phils., partidong United Nationalist Democratic Organization, Trade Union Congress of the Phils., El Shaddai at Iglesia ni Cristo.
