Tataas ang kontribusyon sa Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (Philhealth) simula sa buwan ng Hunyo.
Ayon sa Philhealth, mula sa 3 percent, magiging 4 percent na ang buwanang kontribusyon ng bawat miyembro.
Nakasaad sa Universal Healthcare Act na tataas ng 0.5 percent ang kontribusyon sa Philhealth hanggang sa umabot ng 5 percent na increase sa taong 2025.
Pero dahil sa pandemya sa COVID-19, pansamantalang itinigil ng pamahalaan ang pagpapatupad ng increase sa kontribusyon noong nakaraang taon.
Matatandaang nabalot ng kontrobersiya ang Philhealth matapos kwestyunin ang nawawalang pondo na P15 bilyon.
