Palasyo, tiniyak na gagamitin nang maayos ang P12-T inutang ng bansa
Tiniyak ng Palasyo ng Malakanyang na hindi wawaldasin at gagamitin nang maayos ng pamahalaan ang utang ng bansa na nasa mahigit P12 trilyon.
Pahayag ito ng Palasyo matapos ang ulat ng Bureau of Treasury na nasa P12.68 trilyon ang utang ng bansa sa pagtatapos ng Marso ng taong 2022.
Ayon kay acting presidential spokesman Martin Andanar, gagamitin ng angkop ang mga inutang ng pamahalaan.
“We assure our people that the country’s borrowings, which put the county’s outstanding debt to more than P12-T, as end of March 2022, shall be put into good use and utilized effectively and efficiently,” pahayag ni Andanar.
Ayon kay Andanar, gagamitin ang inutang na pondo para sa pagtugon sa pandemya sa COVID-19.
“Recent borrowings would be for our COVID-19 response and recovery and resiliency efforts. We need to sustain our country’s long-term socioeconomic growth and development,” pahayag ni Andanar.
